Shadow Mountain Drive Bellemont, AZ 86015 OPEN POSITION SEASONAL FIRE & FUELS TECHNICIAN Ponderosa Fire District is accepting applications for our Seasonal Fire & Fuels Crew Technician position.
Assigned to an engine company, the Seasonal Fire & Fuels Technician will work directly under the crew lead performing duties relating to hazardous fuels reduction, fire prevention, public education, prescribed/pile burns, fire suppression and other activities that support the protection of life and property.
The Seasonal Fire & Fuels Technician is a 24 hour work week but will require individuals to be away from home or out of the state for extended periods of time with lots of overtime during the wildland fire season.

18 years of age or older Qualified Type 2 Wildland Firefighter U.

Citizen S-130/190 certified High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience with chain saws Valid Driver's License & AZ Driver's License upon date of hire Satisfactory 39-month driving record Experience with chain saws This work is physically demanding.
Each new hire must be able to:
Carry a 45 pound pack Pass a physical agility pack test Use of hand and power tools Be self-motivated and responsible Application Process:
