This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1194000 and is part of the AZ FMS6, National Guard.
NOTE: ERB/ORB required as proof of MOS.
NOTE: Must Possess and maintain a State and Military Driver License.
NOTE: Must be able to gain and maintain access to the AZ-ARNG network.
NOTE: WOC applicants will have a start date contingent to being successfully appointed the grade of W-1.
Individual selected will receive a Permanent Appointment after successful completion of a one year trial period..

Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC, WG-5801-8/10, this position is located FMS #6 Bellemont, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment.

National Guard Membership is required.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-1/PV1 - E-9/SGM; Warrant Officer: WOC, W-1/W01
Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess one of the following Enlisted MOS's:88, 91, 92, & 94 series; Warrant Officer MOS's: 913A, 914A, 915A, & 919A
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
WG 08: Must have at least 12 months experience or training using common hand and power tools and a small variety of test and measurement devices to make mechanical repairs. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience which demonstrates a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to vehicles; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience demonstrating an understanding of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships; reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
WG 10: Must have at least 24 months experience or training diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more complicated systems; providing a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems; testing, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
